2026 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S: More Power, Streamlined Wheels, and a Higher Price

Porsche is confidently adding more finishing touches to its 911 lineup. Following last year's refresh, Porsche has unveiled the new all-wheel-drive "S" models: the Carrera 4S Coupe and Cabriolet, as well as the Targa 4S. The headline? More power and more standard equipment than their predecessors, plus a significant price increase.

Like the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet, the new all-wheel-drive models are powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine producing 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Porsche claims this power increase is largely due to the intercoolers from the 911 Turbo, and that the engine's output is comparable to that of the old Carrera GTS, with a slight decrease in torque. As with its rear-wheel-drive siblings, the only transmission available is the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. So far, Porsche has limited the manual transmission to the sports-oriented Carrera T and GT3 models.
